Today is Tisha Beav, the 9th day of the month of Av, when we commemorate the 2 destructions of the Beth (בית-house) Hamikdash (המקדש-sacred), the Temple of Jerusalem, from which only remains one wall, the Western Wall.
☘️ For me it’s a day about meditating how we can get closer to who we really are, our divine sparkle living within us, and in that way get closer also to others. We create our sacred temple within our hearts. Trying to feel and understand this sens of loneliness and 𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 of meaning in our life, that we do all feel at some point in our lives, if we listen well enough, not rushing from here to there.
🕍 The divine doesn’t have a temple/a sacred-house anymore, therefore it’s harder to get closer to it, and in that sens to ourselves, to understand who we really are and feel as one, feel the connection between each other. How we can go from ״שנאת חינם״ baseless hatred to ״אהבת חינם״ free unconditional love? 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 אהבה being the same numeric value (13) as 𝐨𝐧𝐞 אחד in “gematria”, in mystic Judaism. This lack, whatever you feel like lacking in your life right now, is what we focus on today. And going until its root, we understand that we all have the same 𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤.
🧘♂️ Meditation trains us to be kind, to feel, think and become loving-kindness, not to be the slave of our thoughts and emotions by reacting to them right away and to believe they define us. We also learn to simply listen and observe, in order to get to know ourselves better.
👂 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 before judging, listening to our body, our emotions, our thoughts, our intuition, our heart, our surroundings, to other people, to the universe, to divine signs and synchronicities, to our dreams, etc. It’s simpler than you think. Our mind is a muscle and meditation helps to be more and more focused and aware at all times.
💭 For instance I asked myself before sleeping “how can I help in this life to rebuild the Bayt Hamikdash” and got beautiful insights that I wrote down right away when waking up.
🤍 Listening and the ear are the specific attributes of this month of Av in Kabbalah. Listening is seeing what is not visible, is seeing how all is 𝐨𝐧𝐞.
